Positioned for the Win
I pray that April has been a month of restoration, hope, and peace for you. As we continue with the theme "Tested but not Defeated." I hope you have been encouraged. Today, I want to encourage you to do something that is very critical in your time of testing. The topic today day is "Positioned for the Win!" How do you position yourself for the win during times of testing? The answer is Prayer.
You have to take a stand in prayer. It seems weird to say take a stand when the posture of prayer is usually on your knees. However, you have to understand that on your knees is when you are taking your greatest stand. You have to say "Enough is Enough!" You cannot allow the enemy to walk all over you! Prayer is your position for the fight that you are in. It is a fight for your faith. A fight for your sanity. A fight for your family. A fight for your peace. A fight for your VICTORY!
In this fight of faith, you have to make sure that you are secure with the battle clothes that God says are needful.
Ephesians 6: 10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
If you want to see God move on your behalf, meet him in prayer. If you want peace in your life, meet him in prayer. If you want to experience God's love in the midst of testing, meet him in prayer. If you wanted God to increase your faith even when the enemy wants you to give up, meet God in prayer. If you want to see change, meet God in prayer. Let's be in position ladies! The enemy wants the tests to move us away from God, but when we know to drop our knees in prayer instead, he knows he has lost that battle. Who do you really believe? Who is really the source of your strength? Who do you really rely on? Who do you really have faith in? No matter how bad it looks, you look to God!!! No matter how hard it gets, you look to God. The enemy is after your relationship with God. BUT, YOU STAND IN PRAYER! Position yourself for the WIN!!!
I Samuel 1
Hannah was a woman who wanted to have children. The prophet of God came into the church and found her there. She was praying so hard the prophet Eli thought she was in there drunk because she was praying but no sounds were coming out of her mouth (pouring out her hear in prayer to God). Where will God find you doing in your time of distress? The prophet of God talked with her, and she told him what was on her heart. And his response was may God give her what she asked, and she later gave birth and named him Samuel. He became a mighty prophet of God. From this story, we see Hannah wanted to bring life. She was ready for change. Maybe you are ready to bring life to an area of your life. Positioned yourself like Hannah did!
Prayer is where you take your stand!
