WOW January is almost over!!! We are moving right along in 2018. I pray that these blogs have helped you to begin to position yourself for success and hope in this new year. The theme for this month has been: Pursuing Purpose. January is a fundamental month for this new year. The topic for today is "Peculiar Woman: Bloom Where You Are Planted."
Peculiar- distinctive in nature or character from others; uncommon; unusual,
God has created you with your own pattern. You are distinctive. I love the phrase Dare to be Different. This is so important. This is how you will bloom into who God has made you to be. There is no need to try to be like anyone else. It is only for you to discover and become what God has ordained you to be. Your walk is different, your talk is different, your experiences are different, your goals and dreams are different. Bloom where you are planted literally means to evolve, develop, and grow wherever you are. Your experiences make you relevant, unique, and powerful. You can make a difference in your family, your community, and the world you live in. You have something valuable to offer! It will only be established when you walk as the Peculiar Woman you were designed to be. It will happen by moving beyond pain, overcoming every obstacle, maintaining every moment of success, rising from every failure, and fighting every battle head on. Who are Peculiar Women? They are women of Faith, women of Power, and women of Wisdom.
Women of Faith-
Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
As a Peculiar Woman, you must be a woman of faith. Everything that you do and aspire to do must be predicated on your faith. Your faith in God will strengthen you when you are weak, will build you up when times are difficult, and will allow you to reach heights beyond your own imagination. When we live by faith, God grants us favor, blessings, open doors, and more. A woman of faith is focused more on what God says than what people say, the doctors say, the devil says, or the doubters say. The woman of faith is not overwhelmed by matters because she realizes that she is not in any battle alone. Faith says that you have already won when you feel defeated. Faith says that you are strong when the doctor's report comes back negative. Faith says you will get the job even though you are not qualified.
Esther- Esther 4:16- "Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish."
Esther decided that she would move based on her faith that God would be with her and grant her favor. She called a fast for her and her people to fast and pray for God's favor. In the end, God granted her favor, and she was able to save the people of Israel from a vicious attack that Haman had in mind.
Women of Power-
Zechariah 4:6, "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts."
As a Peculiar Woman, it is important that you use the power that lies within from the Holy Spirit. You have to make a choice to continue to connect yourself with God, who is the ultimate source of power. You can do nothing in your own power. However, you can do everything with the Holy Spirit.
Deborah- Judges 5:31- "So may all your enemies perish, O LORD! But may they who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength."
Deborah was judge and prophetess at a time where most of the leaders prior to her were men. She was a woman who was bold, and she helped to lead the people of God in right relationship with God. She help lead people to victories over the enemies that rose up against them. She did everything by the leading of God. She even gave out warnings. God can use you in battles too. He has called you to be able to impact nations for the glory of God.
Women of Wisdom-
Proverbs 4:7, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."
As a Peculiar Woman, we must learn to walk with wisdom. Wise-having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true or right; possessing discernment, judgment, or discretion. Are we seeking God for discernment? It is one of the gifts of the Spirit. As we seek God for wisdom and discernment, we can see God at work in our lives.
Proverbs 31 Woman- Proverbs 31:26, "She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness."
The Proverbs 31 woman, is the woman to admire because of the way that she is described and characterized. It is not to be intimidated, but the ways in which are worthy of praise and honor are qualities we should strive to walk in. It is not for you to condemn yourself, but it is for you to work towards. God is pleased with your willingness to change. Your change will impact your progress. The Bible is a guide. The Bible is for our example. The Bible is for us to learn. There are certain things we have to shed off, and we have to allow God to fill us with the godly characteristics that will allow us to be the peculiar woman he has created us to be.
Love Who God has made You! Bloom Where You Are! You Are a Peculiar Woman for a Reason! Dare to be Different!
