Peace Be Still!
Wow, we are at the last day of November! Can you believe it? I hope that you all have enjoyed this journey dealing with the topic, Living With Peace. It is very possible to live with Peace when you rely completely on God. I know I posted a blog yesterday, but I wanted to conclude this topic with one last Life Blog titled: Peace, Be Still!
Whoa! Right? Peace, Be Still! The context of this statement is one of command. It is not a question, a hope, or a plea. This statement dictates that whatever is being addressed must become subject to the words released into the atmosphere.
You have Authority
I believe God wants us to speak to some areas in our lives and say, "Peace, Be Still." God has given us authority. Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Since, Jesus died on the cross for us, through the Holy Spirit, we have power to declare and decree as Jesus did in his own ministry, and things must obey. What are we allowing to steal our peace? What are we allowing to have control over our hearts, minds, relationships, family? What will we do to change it?
Decree in Faith! Did you know that when you speak, God will back you up?
In I King 17, Elijah decreed that it would not rain for five years unless he said that it would rain again. Why would Elijah say that when God had not told him to? Elijah had enough relationship with God to know that God would back him up because he knew the heart of God concerning his children. King Ahab and Queen Jezebel were leading the children of Israel away from God. There was a need for change! If the enemy has been messing with your life, there is a need for change! Later, after three years of no rain, God spoke to Elijah and told him to go and pray that the rain is released. There were many failed attempts by false prophets trying to cause it to rain, but when Elijah prayed, the rain came. You can utilize your authority when you have relationship with God!
Speak Peace to "it"!
Since you have been reminded that you have authority, it is time to walk in your authority. Speak peace to those areas in your life where it seems chaotic. God is a God of promise. He said that you have the power, you just have to use it.
The "It" does not matter. There is nothing too big or too small for God! I am not sure what your "it" is, but God is greater!
"It" does not win! "It" does not have control over you! "It" will not prosper! "It" will not continue to take your peace! Walk in your authority woman of God! Decree and Declare and watch God back you up! As long as what you are speaking lines up with God's Word, trust that He has you covered.
Jesus is our perfect example:
35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”
Jesus knew the enormity of His power! Do you know how much power is on the inside of you!I believe God wants us to leave this month knowing who we are because of our relationship with Him. Walk in your authority Ladies! There is a mantle on your life that gives you the grace to release Peace!.
Speak Peace to whatever matter is causing chaos when God has intended for you to live in Peace, and God will back you up! The time is now to change the course of your life with your words! And, I speak Peace to you today!
