Help is Here

Sometimes you feel as if you are all alone in the circumstances that you are faced with. You work hard to remain encouraged and keep the faith, but the weights are increasing by the moment. However, I want you to know that Help is Here!

Psalm 121

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

These versus share with us know that help comes from God. Although, there may be people who love you and are there for you, God is the ultimate source of favor. People may not be able to help every time. People may not answer the phone each time you call. Nevertheless, God is always there in the darkest and hardest moments of our life. God is there to hear our deepest cry. When was the last time you released a cry out for your father? He is awaiting the sounds and unique vibrations that only come from your voice. Isn't it spectacular that we serve a God that can distinguish our voice from all others in the world. Then, he welcomes the opportunity to rush to our rescue. 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

Lets look again at Psalm 121.

In the first verse David states that "I will lift up mine eyes to the hills, from where his help comes from." This verse reveals that David has come to the realization that God is His source of help, so he is making a conscious decision to seek God's face. Have your made that choice regarding the situation on your heart and the desires of your heart?

In the second verse, David begins to testify of the power of the God that he serves. If God made the heaven and Earth, then surely he can handle what I am facing.

In the third verse, David continues to talk about the character of who God is. This can only come from personal revelation from other obstacles that have stood in his way. In this verse David declares that God is a keeper.

In the fourth verse, David says that he neither slumber nor sleeps, that lets us know that God is always avaiable for you. It does not matter what time of the day or night that you go to Him for help, He is going to be there.

The fifth verse states, "The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand." This shade is further reference to the fact that God is our protector. In the hottest moments of your life, God can be your source of coolness.

The sixth verse states, "The sun shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night." The sun is the source of heat and the moon is the source of cool. Therefore, this verse is saying that heat or cold will not overtake you. This basically further supports the fact that God will keep you no matter the circumstances.

The seventh verse mentions that God is a preserver. Preserve means: to keep alive or in existence; make lasting.

Finally, the eighth verse states, "The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." Here David shares that God's people will always be covered. That is the nature of who God is.

Be encouraged today that Help is Here. The preserver of life, the creator of heaven and Earth, the Keeper in danger, the God who never fails is waiting to hear from you. You can overcome everything that comes your way. You can be confident that God is able to make the impossible, possible in your life. If you have been feeling helpless, hopeless, or faithless, look for help from God, look for hope in his Power, greatness, and love, and have Faith in God, your father!
