I Am Not My Past!

Women, I hear God calling us His Ambassadors!

Ephesians 6: 19-20

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Ambassador- a diplomatic official of the highest rank, sent by one sovereign or state to another as its resident representative.

When you give your heart over to God, you become his ambassador. You are His representative in the Earth. As His ambassador, you cannot be held to your past.

Your past will try to haunt you, discourage you, and hinder you. However, your past is just that, your past. You have to rise above it! In Christ we are new creatures, and the destiny that God has for us cannot be destroyed because of our past. God has a great way of making things work out for our good no matter how bad it may have been.

Even if your past is not something you have done wrong but something that has happened to you. You have to ask God to help you heal, forgive, and let go of the anger and bitterness that has callused your heart. This does not mean to allow things to continue to happen in your life; however, I believe you can forgive for your sake.

We cannot be ambassadors for Christ while allowing the baggage from our past to sit on our shoulders. We have to be allowing him to work on our hearts, minds, and souls. As we allow him to pour into us, then we can pour into others. We can let others know what God can do for someone who is broken, alone, sick, depressed, fearful, and so much more. As an Ambassador for Christ ladies, we are God's representatives. This does not mean that we are perfect, but it means that we seek him for direction, wisdom, and understanding concerning every area of our lives.

You are not your past! Breath and allow God to minister to your heart concerning areas where you know need to be renewed through the Holy Spirit. Allow him to walk with you to freedom, forgiveness, healing (emotional or physical), and so much more. Then, you can share the love that God has for you with others. There are people you can help and encourage in this life. Your past can cause you to put your focus only on yourself. When you are healed, you should share what you know!! Start New!!

II Corithians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
