Your Best is Enough
I would like to let you know that your best is enough for God. Therefore, all you must do is give God your best. God knows that as humans we are perfectly imperfect. We are prone to make mistakes and wrong choices. Nevertheless, this is the very reason he has given the believer so much to help them on their journey walking with him. He has given us the Bible, which is filled with infallible truths. Also, God has given us himself in the person of the Holy Spirit who enables us to walk uprightly before God. Therefore, when we give God our best, we can trust that God will enable us to do beyond what we could on our own. God desires your worship, he desires your sacrifice, and he desires your yielded heart. When we give our best, we can look for God to respond with his love, which can be displayed in many ways. Whatever we need and the purpose and plan that he has desired for our lives, he can fulfill and accomplish.
Individuals can be their worst critics. We can be so use to the negative things that people say concerning mistakes, bad choices, and shortcomings that we learn to be those voices before anyone else. However, Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Therefore, the Bible teaches that when we are doing our best to walk with God, we do not walk in self-loathing seeking punishment. Instead, believers should allow the word to convict their hearts in to seeking God for help in their areas of need. It is only through conviction that hearts are transformed and renewed.
Let's look at two women who gave there best, and let's see how Jesus responds.
Woman with Alabaster Box- Matthew 26 Jesus was visiting someone's house, and a woman came in and began to pour precious oil on the feet of Jesus. When the disciples saw it, they questioned why Jesus was allowing her to do this. They said that the oil could be sold and the money given to the poor. However, she gave Jesus her absolute best. This woman It was a display of love for him. God is deserving of our absolute best. When we give God our best, he will take notice of what we are doing. We cannot be so focused on giving our best to everything else and not to God. Jesus said she would be remembered. God will remember you and bless you for your sacrifice of love.
Widow's Mite- Luke 21 She also gave her absolute best. Although, it was not much Jesus still acknowledged her sacrifice. When everyone was giving big gifts, she only had little. However, what she did give Jesus brought attention to it. I can imagine the other people looking bewildered. Jesus said even though she gave little, she gave her everything. God knows all, and he knows where you are giving your absolute best. He will honor your for that. You done have to worry about what others are doing. You focus on the fact that God sees your sacrifice.
Today, I just want to encourage you that your best is enough. God will meet you where you are. We have the Bible and the Holy Spirit to give us direction, wisdom, understanding, knowledge of truths, and so much more that enables use to walk with God. It is not that you will be perfect, but relying on God helps you to walk in the Spirit. Romans 8:1 "There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." As long as you are striving to walk uprightly, you are moving in the right direction. Continue to be open to learning and growing more! #New Beginnings
