The Power of Prayer
God is the creator of the universe. There is no battle too difficult for him to win, there is no enemy too great for Him to defeat, there is no sin too horrible for Him to forgive, and there is no one too bad for Him to love.
Prayer is time spent communicating with God: our Maker (who knows everything about us) and our Father (who loves us unconditionally). God desires to hear from His children because He knows who He is. Do You? God is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent.
In prayer, God is able to teach you more about Him, to bring clarity to uncertain circumstances, to give hope to seemingly dead situations and to give purpose and direction. The power of prayer is evident in the life of the believer.
Have you ever felt discouraged, but after time in prayer, talking to God who hears, understands, and loves, your spirit is lifted. You must know that God is concerned about you. He desires to give you the things you need. Some may say, How do I know that when I pray God will answer.
Matthews 21:22, "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."
- You must believe and have faith in God. Then, God said we will have what we have asked for.
Mark 11:24, "Therefore, I say unto you, what things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have [them]." - One again that is about believing. We can bring our desires to God.
John 14:13-14, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
- Through Christ, God is magnified by our testimony of what God has done.
John 15:7, "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
- There are benefits of having a relationship with God. When you spend time with God and studying his word, God says that he will honor your prayer. He knows his children.
Philippians 4:6-8, "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God."
- Careful in this scripture is about worry and stress. So don't stress. Then in everything deals with bringing everything to God. Finally with thanksgiving, means to thank God in advance for what you are asking him for.
There is power in prayer, and it is not the individual but the God who answers! Trust God with the affairs of your life.
Don't be afraid to be broken before God! Sometimes you just need to cry out to God. Release the worry, the stress, the pressure, and yield completely over to God. God loves you so much!
Will you stop & seek His face?
Let God be your redeemer, healer, rescuer, strength, and more.
He loves to hear from you, and He would love to be glorified in your life.
