Focus on the Promises

Focus on the Promises

II Corinthians 1:20- For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen (It is so), unto the glory of God by us.

There are times in life when you are face with many challenges, and you can begin to lose sight of the promises of God in your life. You have to believe and know that what God has said to you will come to pass. The enemy desires to lose sight of that and become distracted by various things. I don’t know what the distraction could be in your life, but allow God to show you what it is, so that you can recognize it. Be encouraged today knowing that no matter the load that is on you, the challenges that you are faced with, or what has not yet manifested I your life, God is faithful to his people.

Again II Corinthians 1:20 states, For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen (It is so), unto the glory of God by us.

Hebrews 12:2 “For the joy that was set before him endured the cross despising the shame”

Joy set before him- What you are aiming for, the dream to be fulfilled is the joy. Continue to keep your eyes focused on that promise. Continue to reach and obtaining.

Endure- There will be a time where you must endure. There may be challenges in your life where you re enduring right now. Continue to press forward.

Shame- Sometimes before your victory it does not look good, it looks like thins want work out, but trust the faithfulness of God

Promises of God can come in various ways, and in each way we have to keep the faith.

  1. Spoken by God- Abraham

God said that Abraham would have a child even though his wife was barren. At 100 years old, Abraham had a child with his wife Sarah. Even though they tried it their own way, God still honored his word.

  1. Dream or a Vision from God- Joseph

God gave Joseph a dream of being over his family. He went through a lot before he was in a position that the dream was fulfilled. Don’t be discouraged by the unexpected challenges and enemies that may arise before your dream is fulfilled.

  1. Prophecy- David

Elijah anointed David King while Saul was still king. While someone else was in the position, God said that David would be King. There maybe someone in a place where God told you that you would be. It’s in God’s appointed time for you. It does not matter who or what is in charge or doing something. When it is your time to walk in your God given destiny, nothing will stop you.

KEY

  • Keep Your Eyes on God

II Corinthians 4:17-18

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look at the things which are seen are temporal, but at the things which are not seen are eternal”
