It Takes A Tranformation
Are these things about yourself that you would like to change? Are you easily frustrated? Are you often discouraged? Are your facial expressions not always great? Are you often defensive? Are you finding yourself yielding to the same temptations?
When people know their personal issues, they sometimes try to stop it, fix it, or avoid it for change. However, the truth is that God is the one who gives individuals the power to overcome personal struggles, bad habits, and the like. What is important is for people to for an internal transformation first.
An internal transformation comes from God. It comes from spending time with God in prayer, spending time in study of God's word, and being mindful of what one reads, watches, and listens to. As you draw closer to God, the other things will begin to fall off. You attitude will be different, you no longer have to defend yourself, you can love instead of be angry, you can seek peace instead of vengeance, you desire to do things the right way instead of the wrong, and you are encouraged instead of discouraged.
Philippians 4: 6-8 states, "6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Allow God to transform you, and then others will see the change on the outside. If the inside is tarnished, then the things that are done on the outside will reveal that. However, if the inside is adjusted through time with God, time away from distractions, and time spend thinking on the right things, the attitude will change, the outlook on life will change, frustration will do away, and more.
God desires to help, be a guide, and give direction for you, will you allow him to transform you?
