Changing Your Thinking
You may have recently or previously experienced some unexpected events and unexpected situations have come up. However, no matter how difficult the circumstances may be, the pain, confusion, anger, sadness, or anxiety does not have to remain with you for the rest of your life. It can change today and you can start fresh tomorrow. How?
You just have to change your thinking. Joyce Meyer states "The way you think determines the way you live (15). If you feel defeated, weakened, or worthless because of a situation then that's the way life will be for you. Remember the devil does not want you to reach your potential. Detrimental Thoughts include: Negative thinking and entertaining the lies of Satan concerning you and your situation. Instead, you must have life-enriching thoughts: Thoughts of overcoming and remembering the promises of God.
We have to be mindful of the way we are thinking. We have to fight to guard our minds so that we can continue to move forward in this life. Maintaining a negative thought process kills your faith, hope, and your reason to live (your purpose). We can life a life to its maximum if we change our thinking. We have to think life God thinks when it comes to who we are, what we can do, and the great plans that he has for our lives.
Romans 12:2: 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
1 Corinthians 2:16: 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
11 Corinthians 10:5 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Everyday we have new grace and new mercy. We do not have to walk around like we are defeated when we are not. The best is yet to come for you and I. We just have to continue to recall the promises of God to our minds so that the lies of the enemy do not overtake our thoughts about who we are and the future that God has for us. It does not matter how long you have been in situation. It only take one word from God to turn everything completely around. I know there have been nights of tears, moments of doubt, moments of fear, and so many other feelings that come from negative thoughts overtaking the truth according to God's word. Nevertheless, it is up to you to take back your place of reassurance that God is able to do far above what you can even imagine. You have to remind yourself of the LOVE God has for you. He will never leave us desolate. The bible says that he will never leave you nor forsake you. Continue to preserver in difficulty. Be persistent in prayer and you will see the manifestation of God's power at work in your life.
